Netflix is on online entertainment streaming service with largest variety of any online streaming services, with around 50,000 different programs (https://www.moneysupermarket.com/broadband/streaming-services/) ,it is roughly the most popular due to this and is my personal everyday entertainment source. Despite Netflix only recently become very famous the service was founded on 29 August 1997, Netflix currently has around 148 million paid subscriptions, and around 154 million subscriptions along with free trails (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netflix). Netflix in the UK currently has 3 monthly payments plans:

The first being £5.99 per month, the least expensive plan lets you watch any program in high definition on a singular device at a time.

The second being £8.99 per month, the middle group plan lets you watch any program in high definition on two different devices at a time

The third being £11.99 per month, the most expensive plan allows you to watch any program in ultra-high definition on 4 devices at a time. (https://www.radiotimes.com/news/on-demand/2020-01-31/netflix-guide-cost-how-to-sign-up-what-to-watch/)

Netflix while maintaining a huge variety of shows from many different sources, they continue to add to there expanding roster of TV shows from other networks and buy the rights to shows which keeps on adding to their increasing success. Netflix buys the rights to thousands of movies and TV shows every year. A huge factor to Netflix’s success is the original shows, they have so many outstanding original shows which are exclusive to Netflix and these are usually pitched to the company and they invest in them and classify them as Netflix originals, some examples of these shows that I have personally watched are Bojack horseman, which is an animation comedy with deep dark undertones about depression and mental health. Rhythm and flow a reality TV show, where 3 famous rappers move across America in search for the next hip hop sensation by having them compete against each other week. Let’s take a look at few reasons of why Netflix is such a great streaming service, Netflix is really easy to use it’s a very simple to login on your laptop you could easily go to their website www.netflix.com and login and your set, on a mobile device you just have to download the Netflix app and your set. Netflix keeps track of a show or movie and picks up wherever you leave off within the episode or movie or season. Netflix has no ads whatsoever it is uninterrupted stream of your choice of entertainment, most other streaming services have several ads and cut off your programs. Netflix’s originals are another huge factor they have amazing shows that are only on their service. Netflix provides an option to download and watch later which comes in handy way more than you’d think, you can download several movies and TV shows and watch them on road trips, airplane journeys and family outings. There are many different plans which can be suited for many different uses, so you’ll most likely find the plan for you quite easily. Some down sides to Netflix, Netflix is very slow when it comes to updating their shows and movies things will not be uploaded as soon as the release date of show or movie comes around. A lot of movies and TV shows on Netflix are outdated and it takes them quite a while to get a newer collection of TV shows and movies they don’t do it as fast as some of the services will be with acquiring new products. Different locations have different selections of TV shows and movies so something that could be available in the US may not reach us here in the UK which can lead us to miss out on many different programs that we could enjoy. I personally love Netflix I have replaced regular TV with Netflix as I can easily choose the show I want to watch at anytime and its so easy to use and its really affordable there is also a very popular phrase called “Netflix and chilling” which I actively take part in as frequently as I can it’s the premise of inviting the person your dating or interested in to just watch shows on Netflix with at the time and it’s a solid way to spend time with someone else.
